The 1980’s generation has Madonna and the gift to the 21st century pop fans is Lady GaGa. Because she is such a “unique” personality, she commands an audience and attention wherever she goes. If she isn’t the one causing the uproar, it is one of her fans doing something that is catching the headlines. The Lady GaGa tickets are some of the hardest to find, but they are still available through secondary outlets.
In order for any entertainer to be successful, they need to steal the headlines. This is something that Lady GaGa has little problem doing. Be it a fan doing something stupid or Lady GaGa herself moving a show (as happened in Chicago), it seems like we are reading about this little temptress every day.
Just a few days ago a fan decided to try and show Lady GaGa some love by tossing flowers onto the stage. Unfortunately for Lady GaGa, their aim was a little too good and they hit her square in the head. Ever since the invention of the automobile people have been drinking and driving. There are many people that think they can drive if they have only had a couple drinks but this is far from the truth. There is never an excuse for drinking and driving, no matter how little you had to drink.
When you take the risk and drive will drinking there are many things that may go wrong. You could end up spending the night in jail and having to pay a large fine for a DUI if you are caught driving drunk. Not to mention all of the people you are putting in danger. A DUI is the best case scenario because you could end up taking someone’s life.
You run the risk of losing a lot when you are drunk and driving. If you drive after you have been drinking you take the risk of killing yourself or someone else. You will go to jail if you wreck and the result is someone’s death. DUI Driving while intoxicated is a very bad idea. It can get a lot of people hurt. It can even get them killed. There a lot of prevention programs out there. One of them is called Every Fifteen Minutes.
Starting in Spokane, WA, the program was adapted for the United states. It was considered a wide success, and began to spread. The program in general focuses on Juniors and Seniors in High School.
Every Fifteen Minutes, at the beginning, was in reference to the rate estimated by law enforcement of which we lost a human life to alcohol related events. Mainly this meant driving while under the influence, but later it expanded to include alcohol poisoning, and buzzed driving. The planning phase begins months in advance. This program is normally put on right before Prom or Homecoming. The timing varies between schools.
This event covers many aspects of alcohol related incidents. The main two, however, are drunk driving and and alcohol poisoning. Many agencies work with the schools to put this program on. These can be the police, fire and rescue, paramedics, and hospital staff. Read more...

As my editor will verify, I’ve become somewhat obsessed lately on the idea of building a backyard theater. Now even I have the good sense to realize some of my enthusiasm is nothing more than spring fever (last year it was fish pond). But somehow 2008 feels different… and with a deal like this the odds of me actually following through are tantalizingly realistic (don’t ask about the fish).
First, let me back up and explain what a “backyard theater” is. EH has posted a lot of outdoor uber theaters in it’s pages, most so far out of our budget it’s laughable (if you’re not laughing, you’re crying). Backyard theaters take a more every-day-guy approach. Often, they’re nothing more than a bed sheet, a projector off ebay, and your kids receiver/speakers. And to be honest, that low-budget feel is half the draw – nights like these with friends and neighbors aren’t supposed to be full-blown cotillions. Rather, they’re meant for sharing an igloo cooler and your favorite movie.
If this is a project you’d be into, I highly recommend doing a bit of research as there’s a plethora of great sites out there dedicated to nothing but taking the home theater outside. To get a taste, hit the forums at BackyardTheater.com and go from there. Read more...
